After several years of being dormant, Bandai is bringing back their Movie Realization series.

With an expected release in late 2014,

I recall an art show that featured a variety of custom Darth Vader helmets -- one of which was done up in Samurai style. Could this be based on that?

Actually, the Darth Vader outfit used in the Star Wars movies (specifically the helmet and mask) was based on Masamune Date's black armour.

This is a replica of the (aged and tattered) actual armour which is on display at the Sendai City Museum.

I'm not sure which I'm more excited about, this figure, or the Star Wars Figuarts.

Some new figures at Tamashii Nation (Photography wasn't permitted)

Imperial Guard
Storm Trooper
Storm Trooper with Spear/Pole Arm
Storm Trooper with Drum
Storm Trooper Archer
Sand Trooper Rifleman

All given the same kind of treatment as Darth Vader, giving them the appearance of feudal Japanese warriors.
