Custom/Altering your Flock? I'm sure I will.

Postby zombie13 » Sat Jul 20, 2013 10:56 am

I'm definitely going to be making my Griffin at this point out of either the Hawk or the Eagle/Griffin. But I'm also thinking of making a Scythe blade for the staff for the Vulture.

Any of you thinking about other ways to do stuff for your Birds?

I'm planning some pretty heavy customization after a while. New heads and paint schemes. I want to go more the mutant/monster route with these guys to keep it closer to the gothic/horror theme. That griffon, though, could really use being a golden color all over, or something like that. Golden eagle.

I look forward to seeing your stuff ED.

I'm also thinking of the feather tips on Quetzacoatl. Some blue-greens and red-oranges,

I've pledged a second battle pack so I can repaint the extra screaming Raven head white, and maybe add some battle scars.

Hey,

That sounds awesome, make sure you post pictures so we can see how it turns out. I'm real curious being a huge fan of the White Raven, (like my posts hadn't given that away already.)

The Four Horsemen's Griffin with the tufts on his head could actually pass as a Thunderbird - which is what I hope to convert him into. The feathers will have to be coloured a little darker and the beak needs to be open (most portrayals of the Thunderbird have his beak open, shooting out thunderbolts), but I think I can manage these alterations.

I am thinking of going quick and dirty and tossing a White Raven in a bucket of red die to make a Blood Raven.

I love those pics. Do you have the skull faced one?

I"ll be adding a hood to my vulture. He already has that evil sorcerer look to him.

Sorry, no. I never saved all the pictures of all the proposed variants. Wish I had though.

I'm probably going to get an extra cardinal to turn into a blue jay.

Also thought about a pitchfork weapon for the Rooster.

So will anybody take some brown, red, and white paint to a griffon to make a staring Mexican Caracara?

I have definitely thought about that. The Cara Cara is the bird depicted on the Mexican flag, so he would go nicely with Quetzalcoatl, while sitting on a cactus with a snake in its talons. :D :)
