Proto Auction

We also wanted to let all Power Lords Fan Club members know in advance that we're going to be putting up for auction an unpainted, uncleaned, 2-up Power Soldiers prototype casting on eBay for sale to the highest bidder! The bidding will begin this Friday evening on eBay.com so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that. We'll put an official announcement up on SourceHorsemen.com about it when it goes live.

ok I got this in an email earlier this week and still I see no info on the auction..
any idea what these look like and when they will go up?

I've been checking. Hopefully they are trying to fix the factory issues first.

Very cool item but out of my price range. It is neat they are doing this though.

So yeah, I'll take responsibility for this. The auction went up late last night. Club members were going to get an email heads-up 24 hours before any official post on the site. I guess the mistake was putting a Buy it Now price. Didn't expect anyone to actually use the Buy it Now, and certainly not within the first hour of the auction. In any case, that's what happened, and the Power Soldier prototype sold for $250.00.

So I'm not sure what's going to happen next. This was sort of a test to see if there was any consumer interest in this kind of item. I think the answer is obviously "yes, there is." I'll talk to the 4H and ask about whether or not there are plans to do another auction, sell prototypes on the site, or some other option.

If there IS another sale or auction, the Power Lords Club members will be getting a proper heads-up this time around.

Damn. Ball... dropped. I'd have bought it for $250 had I known it was up.

The mistake was putting the auction up without giving the notice, like it was supposed to happen.
