Backing Things at KickStarter

I love Kickstarter and have found many great projects to back. Is there something you spotted that might be of interest to others here on the boards. Then post it here!

Check out ModiBot Mo: DIY Action Figures with 3d Printed accessories

I see hints of Beta-Midgets, Assemble-Borg, Stickfas, and Xevoz. If you like any of those you owe it to yourself to pick up at least one ModiBot figure chassis.

Yes, a friend sent me a link for this back in May. I intended to look into it, but totally forgot. This could be an interesting project to fund. Previously, I've only helped to fund the OUYA video game console and the OMFG figures from October Toys.

Today, a friend brought this to my attention. Looks interesting, and surprisingly affordable:

Love me some Lovecraft, so I thought this was cool.

Mainly, I've been backing graphic novels. These two are wrapped up but cool.

Yeah - this needs some more backer stat! I'm surprised more Masters of the Universe fans haven't jumped on board.

Yes, those are some of the best miniatures and the stretch goal extras keep rolling in.

Ad speaking of Kickstarter, isn't time for some sneak peeks of what are fine feathered friends and their Kickstarter will have it store.

Have you been to .Org boards...
yeah no surprise that there are not a lot of backers..they just want to complain about the figures and how if its not from the orginal line its crap...

most of the footwork for this project was done at a few years ago from the people who almost excusively posted in the fan art section...and have since left or only post in a limited fashion...t

there was some great energy and characters being created at that time that I loved to see make it in this book
tech trek, baena, see shell etc ....

The only time I see cool stuff on Kickstarter is when someone posts a link in a forum. When I wander around there on my own, I can never find anything interesting.

When people are trying to do an action figure start up, what section is it normally in?

Usually design / product design for figures but I've seen them pop up other places as well. I use the Kickstarter RSS feed and then search that.

As a fan of mini figures of all kinds like OMFG, MUSCLE, and ZOMBIES I had to back this on Kickstarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/179 ... r-sucklord.

I have one coming to me but most likely will not keep it. The interface to the printer is only through their web site and anything you create must be made available to all who have accounts. You can purchase the APIs (Application Programing Interface) and then use those to write your own printer drivers but that takes a LOT of work.

Sucklord is great cause he just does what he wants, and if you like it along with him then it's even better.

Yeah RSS is a very powerful but underused tool. With a good RSS reader I can keep track of over 350 websites several times a day. That way you guys think I have a clue when you ask me something.
