Ok guys, I'm going to wrap this up so the 4H can start answering questions. If anyone wants to squeeze in a burning question, now's the time.

With coming release of the Mythic Legion, you aren't abandoning the Power Lords are you? I sure hope not. I know it's the new and shiny thing but I wouldn't want to see the PL end before they started.

With the setbacks in the production of the Ravens and what I understand are higher costs associated with the change in factories (?), would the 4H consider reopening the pre-order for the Ravens, perhaps even giving johnny come latelys (like myself) a chance to avail of the kickstarter exclusives?

We will be doing pre-orders for the Ravens before their official release, but the Kickstarter exclusives will remain just that. Exclusive to and only available through the Kickstarter program we did for the Gothitropolis Ravens.

KrazyKolor wrote:1) Are there any plans on holding a Kickstarter for the Gothitropolis Vampire Lady within the near future (within a year or so)?

No plans for a Kickstarter for that character just yet, but you never know what the future might hold...

2) If not, do you plan on holding another FanEx voting round for 6-inch scale figures eventually (either for Seventh Kingdom, Gothitropolis, or something else)?

We'd definitely like to, but there are no current plans for any FAN-Ex voting rounds for 6" scaled figures.

3) If/when you do revisit the Vampire Lady, will you take suggestions from the fan base regarding some of her variants as you did with the Raven? (A Gargoyle type variant would be great! Giving her a digitigrade animal stance similar to how MOTUC’s Lord Dactus was executed with the add-on ankle piece, bat wings, and tail would rock, and could add more diversity to her body buck in addition to the different head sculpts! Lizard lady variants could be done this way as well. :D)

We'll absolutely expect fan input.

4) Some have expressed their concern about whether the Vampire Lady and her variants would sell well as a wave by themselves. Would it be possible to release a male Vampire Guy along side of her, along with other male variants? (Maybe even a male counterpart for the red-faced horned female. Not all variants would need an exact counterpart though. Some variants could be stand-alones in order to mix it up a bit.)

It's not out of the question, but there are no plans for anything like that currently.

5) Like with the Raven Kickstarter where the starting goal was $65,000 for the first six Raven variants, would it be possible to divide the Vampire Lady and Guy the same way? Perhaps there could be 3-4 males and 3-4 females with an initial goal of $70,000 - $80,000 (not sure about the numbers, but just giving an example) and have maybe 2-3 more males and females as stretch goals? Maybe even have a weapon's pack add-on as an additional stretch goal?

Again, it's not out of the question. If we decide to do it at all, we'll definitely explore as many options as we can.

Thanks for all of the great figures you guys produce. The amount of detail and craftsmanship these figures possess is simply phenomenal! Also, thanks for taking the time to read and listen to suggestions from your fan-base. We really do appreciate it. :)

Not a problem. We appreciate all of you!

As you may have seen on the front page of Source Horsemen, we just got the painted and packaged samples in and full production is rolling along now. We expect to have those in our warehouse in June, but hopefully sooner. We'll put up a pre-order a few weeks before we get therm.

I'm making a custom weapon for the Eagle based on the assumption that they will have the same grip diameter, but i'd like to make sure before i get too far in the process

That's a great question... We haven't measured the final product but the prototype used a 1/4" rod as the size for it's handles. We'll have to check into that one and get back to you. Please remind us...

Mindless-Focus wrote:Is there a way we can see the two new characters in more depth?

We'll get better pics of both of those up soon, but neither of those were 100% finished prototypes, so you'll only get front shots.

How many characters can we expect a year with the Power Lords?

Our original plan was to do 2 to 4 a year with variants, but we're still feeling that out to see if annual sales can support more than two characters a year.

Can we get fully painted figures in the line sooner than later? By that, I mean, can we reshuffle the release so they are in there in the middle with supporting cast (other color ways) in the beginning. The main cast in the middle followed by mor supporting cast with new guys thrown somewhere after the painted to keep the excitement up?

One of the reason we have to do so many lightly painted variants early on, besides trying to get the figures into collector's hands as quickly as possible, is that it helps us raise capital so that we can produce the fully painted, blister carded versions.

We could do that, but we're 99% certain that we're going to be doing a Kickstarter for Mythic Legions. There may still be a collectors club of some sort even if we do promote them initially through Kickstarter though.

So sets with just those parts.
Or will you be revisiting the already released figures and re-release them with improved articulation?

Since these figures are fairly modular we can create replacement parts that could give them a wider range of movement rather than having to re-release a whole figure. We'll see...

That remains to be seen. The current plan is to only initially release the parts that were revealed at Toypocalypse 4: FanExtasy, but if the Kickstarter for Mythic Legions goes really well anything could happen. The evidence is in the Pink Flamingo and cape for the Screamin Eagle in the Gothitropolis Ravens line.

Still floating around the studio. It's one of the lines that we want to see happen most, but we're fearful that it may not be "mainstream" enough to be as successful as we'd like. We'll get to it... Some day...

slackrguy wrote:Is "Mythic Legion" the overall name of the 4" lines or is it specific to the knights & skeletons? If it is the general line name, what is the sub-name for this first round of figures?

Mythic Legions is the name for the "Sword & Sorcery" based line of figures in this style and scale that we're doing. We're planning to do other genres and we already have tentative names for those as well. No "sub-name" yet, but we'll probably have something ready at the time of release for marketing purposes if for nothing else.

Hi Ed,

Is there going to be another round of Q&As?

If so, I've got a couple of Power Lords questions.

Will the fully painted/carded Adam Power figure come with an orange neck piece?
If not, and assuming that it will be available at some point to Fan Club members, will there be some way for non-Fan Club members to get the orange neck piece?

Thanks.

Are the painted one white PVC under the paint or colored PVC with the paint over them? No offense, but I'm not happy with the latest OSM having white show at the joints. Plus, if the neck piece on the Powers is yellow underneath, a dip in acetone will sold the above question.
