Not a movie and not fantasy, but the Netflix series, Altered Carbon, is great. I have one more show to finish it, so I'm not sure it will continue but as good as the story line is and characters are I'm guessing it will. It's one of the better shows that I've seen in awhile.

Just finished watching the Warcraft movie and even though it wasn't some masterpiece I liked it. The Orc CGI was a bit off but all in all it was a pretty good movie.

I'm a sucker for the use of spells and magic and this filled my lust.

But the whole time I was wondering why the hell we didn't get 6" Orc or Human Soldier Army builders from Jakks? Or even just some cool Orc helmets we could've used for our Mythic Legion Orcs too. Oh well.

I just watched Legend (1985), and LadyHawke (1985) enjoyed booth . I tried to watch Legends when I was little but it gave me Nightmares . I was really young in the 80's but it seem there were a lot of good Sword and Sorcery & fantasy movies back then.

I watched Ladyhawke years ago and really liked it. I should try to find it again. Had a great story line but for me the horse stole the show.

I'm a pretty big fan of ol' Rutger Hauer, so loved Ladyhawke.

Here's a few other of his lesser flix I enjoyed:

- Flesh & Blood - Though it is missing the fantasy element, the story is set in the Dark Ages against the backdrop of the Bubonic Plague. It is basically about a group of brigands and a kidnapped princess.
- Nighthawks - Rutger plays the baddie, an international terrorist looking to ply his wares in NYC. Sly & Billie Dee Williams play the Big Apple cops looking to thwart his efforts.
- The Blood of Heroes - Rutger plays a tossed-out, washed-up former superstar athlete from a post-apocalyptic team bloodsport. Joan Chen also stars.
This one ranks among my faves of his, right up there with Blade Runner & Ladyhawke.

Not exactly fantasy but it's still knights in armor (sort of...) -- Knightriders...

I think that one is the only non-horror film made by Romero.

Which now reminds me that I've kept putting off getting some 1/12 scale bikes for the figures that I'm sure that TRU is long out of them at this point... :(

I've yet to see it but I went to my Grandmother's house and found an interesting looking VHS tape of an animated movie called The Princess and the Goblin. Seems up this thread's alley.
