Complimentary figures to Mythic Legions?

So in my excitement for ML I have been buying figures and looking out for weapons, creatures, and accessories that I think would work well in a Mythic Legions setting.

So other than a few MOTUC figures like Vikor,Battle Ground Teela,Eldor, and others what figures from other lines might you be using with the ML line?

Here's a list of some things I'll be using in some fashion

Spawn Dark Ages figures Barbarian on horse
Mcfarlane Conan figures
Conan and Wraal from LCBH
Thor
Odin
Ares
World of Warcraft figures
True Legends Dragons
Castle Greyskull
Harry Potter figures
Lord of the Rings Cave Trolls,Spiders,Ringwraiths,Fire Balrog
Diablo
God of War

Any other good suggestions?

Dragonology and McFarlane's dragons for your dragon fix. McFarlane's Blade hunters is a good one too. One figure in particular named Tyr the dragon rider is awesome.. Also, Funko's Magic the Gathering figures and Game of Thrones figures.

Tyr is a cool character, but he sucks as an action figure. He has basically no articulation whatsoever. He is a neat statue though.

The creature figures from the Chronicles of Narnia line fit in quite well with the 4H's previous work. m.ebay.com/itm/391088999325?nav=SEARCH
(not my auction, just an example)

Strangefate on shapeways has some nice stuff but it is unpainted and a bit expensive. Although the skeletons are reasonably priced compared to other action figures of the same size.

$33 for unpainted, unassembled, unpackaged, unaccessorized, 3D printed figures is crazy high. I appreciate what he's done, and find the idea of print-on-demand toys interesting, but that price is not compelling at all.

I hope the Horsemen put out some unarmored skeleton legion builders in the future.

Ya but isn't he just a one guy operation?

I don't know how Shapeways is set up but I'm sure they can't mass produce like China to keep costs down yet.

I'm sure prices will drop as the years go by.

Plus didn't they drop the scale on these to like 5",which turned me off a bit.

The Ogre is a great figure but should've been atleast 6" to 7"

shapeways has a bank of printers, but they're essentially print on demand... so yes, they're by no means a huge commercial operation. and yes, strangefate is one guy, who writes the design for the pieces he sells. he's pretty damned efficient about creating hollow parts where he can, and keeping sprues to minimal pieces to keep the plastic mass strong but cheap. his stuff's been reviewed on the fwoosh (only place that i know of) and it's good, it's very good for what it is. and given the nature of the plastic used for it, his skeletons are likely excellent, though i don't own one yet. i do have several of his weapons, and they're awesome, sound as a pound. as for whether or not the skeleton is worth his asking price, i suppose we all have to ask ourselves what we're paying for and what we're comfortable with, but for a little perspective, bandai's asking 20 bucks for essentially the same thing, only massed produced.

oh, and i'd be remiss if i didn't mention the stan winston figures... the gargoyles, realm of the claw, pretty much all of it, would look great with your legions. megablocks also had a lot of dragon sets out not that long ago. they're more stylized, but still cool.

How about the New Game of Thrones figs from Funko? They are 6 inch and look pretty good.

This guy looks really good for a barbarian type, articulation sucks though....:

That's true, he is practically a statue. No, he's 6 inches.

I think the Seventh Kingdom and Gothitropolis figures would look okay displayed alongside Mythic Legions.

I just bought the sickest Barbarian figure from the Diablo 3 Videogame!
