As for the "how", I basically took a Cavern Dwarf figure, and swapped in some skeleton bits. The only parts that really needed trimming to fit dwarf proportions were the thighs, so I measured them out, and cut about 3/8" of material from the inside of the thighs. I then drilled two holes in either side of the thigh, inserted two nails that I had cut to length, and superglued everything together. After that, it was a matter of applying some spot putty and sanding until everything looked flush.

Oh, and I also cut his waist armor down to a more manageable size for a little dude. I ended up using extra bits that I had cut off to serve as replacement arm armor, since it would've been difficult to color match the Cavern Dwarf's armor color with the paints I have.

Great idea! Very well done!

(I went with a metallic skeleton because in my head canon, dwarves have metal/metallic skeletons).

ReallyBigKid wrote:My Barbarian Helmet is cut and ready for testing. I'm hoping it looks good on the skeleton Legion builders figure, like in this crappy mock-up photoshop I did ages ago. I'm working on a variation, archer's helmet as well.

Glad you made these available, I bought 3 of them.

I hope you like them, Garyl. They sold out so fast, I didn't even have a chance to grab any. :)

I've finished the hat for my Vlad the Impaler. I just need to work on his hair. I'm going to get my wife to make a red cloak with a black fur collar to kind of match the old painting of him. I think that same hat will look great on the Vampire Knight head. Another head I've worked on recently is something I was calling Sack Head, though a friend has told me The Hanged Man sounds better. I've tested my Sack Head with a hat. It makes him look like a creepy Scarecrow.

Hi, I’ve been into Mythic legions since 1.0, and always lurked on the forums here. For a while I was scared to dare paint on one of these figures, but after I botched an initial bloody paint job, I decided to take the leap and do a full repaint of the 1.0 legion builder knight. I went for a dark fantasy look, and had most of my inspiration from photographers on Instagram. I plan to add wings and a black ornament, and maybe a shoulder cape of sorts. Ideas on it would be greatly appreciated as well! :D

That looks great, Tybalt. With mine, I added a bit of gold by painting the rivets.

If you keep putting them out there, I'll keep buying them. I have to admit I'm not much of a rat head person, but I like these other heads. Vlad's looking great.
