Blood of the Ancients, Green Patina, Dark Jade:

------------------------------------
I'm going to jump the gun a bit and get the voting started on these effects.
If Jade wins, we'll have one more voting round to determined WHICH type of Jade to use.
If Terra Cotta wins, we'll have one more voting rounds to determine WHICH type of Terra Cotta to use.

-----------------------------------

Ok, here's what I've been working on lately.

So again, the basic idea here is that the entire figure would feature one of these finishes, creating a figure that is totally unique from anything else in the Mythic Legions lineup. Since there are three Jades, they'd probably be combined into just "Jade" for voting, and then we'd vote on which Jade to use for the final. The same goes for Terra Cotta, where one is very close to the Chinese Terra Cotta Soldiers, and the other is more like terra cotta you'd use in your garden. Some of these feature a high gloss. Others have a matte finish.

Here, Shane and Cornboy inspect the paint samples. Everyone in the shop was very positive about the results.

Let me know your thoughts. If you voted on Full Body Effect but hate these choices, please feel free to change your vote. I'm personally a fan of the Turquoise and Red Wood finishes, but that's just me. I think any of these would look great applied to the full figure.

Below are all the photos I took of the paint samples today under different lighting. It's hard to really show off the effects perfectly, but I think between all the photos you'll get a good idea of how they look. Hope you enjoy!

Red wood or dark jade really pops!

The death knell tolls as hope decays,
The faithful waits, the last few days,
For horsemen of four and a carriage of green,
To herald the end with the birth of a queen.

Just a thought, would the "Red Wood" be a misleading/turn-off name for some as the armor is pretty much metal. Red Lacquer or something else? No issues with the color itself. Totally caught my eye first. Dark jade came in second for me.

I thought about that. I'm not sure how much people would be affected by the names. I did base the deep red and black look on polished wood, so I felt the name was ok. The names are just there so we can refer to them in conversation. I hope people aren't swayed too much by them. Lacquer sounds good, but I think that would suggest an entirely different finish.
