This is my Kung Fu, and it is strong...(sculpting/casting)

That head would look amazing on Gorthokk's body. I imagine that matching Gorthokk's color might be a nightmare though.

Great sculpt! I'll definitely be interested in one of these once you have them for sale. I'd love it in the purple, but not sure if it'd work with any bodies (maybe just throw it on a black knight?

Eh. I’ve done it before, it’s no big deal to do it again.

I would say red to go with the new Fury Orc but it doesn't officially exist yet so who knows what the perfect color of red would be on that.

That and if someone found some good green bat or dragon wings it would make an awesome Cthulhu spawn.

@zombie13 - the purple color is perfect...and put me down for 1!

I agree that the one I used for my custom is more suited to MOTU. It was actually created for that line in the first place! It worked for what I wanted to accomplish, but seeing yours, now I am totally ready to upgrade.

Yeah, we don't really have too much purple so far in Mythic Legions outside of the Vampires. I may just have to leave it up to whomever buys them to choose their color they want to fit their needs to be painted.

This guy is coming along nicely. First stages of the face plate. This one is kind of an experiment or sorts. It's going to be a three part mold. I need to clean up the face plate and reduce the size a little, it's too bulky in some spots. I used aluminum foil to keep the Apoxie from sticking to the rest of the helmet. This will allow me to mold it separately and assemble it after casting. It's smooth now, but I plan to add details to it.

All right, and have a question for you 300 something looky-loos. What color(s) should this guy be? Usually I have stuff like that figured out well before I sculpt anything, but this one was just not decided. Now I that the head is done, I'm going to start the molding and casting process, but once I have the casts ready, what should be the colors?

These are the images I found to base my sculpt on:

I can do these colors, but what do you guys think?

That color looks great but I'm reminded of a friend I had waaaaaaaaaaaay-back-when in the early days of me playing D&D (very early 80s) who would go on-and-on-and-on-and-on about mind flayers being mauve when he was painting his minis. A nice earthworm-y pink/tan with a good gloss coat would be creepy, too.

I'm in the molding phase. This is the part that takes the longest. I might have some casts in about a month.

Here's a little insider info. This picture shows various stages of the mold building process. Noting too detailed, just thought I'd share where I'm at with many of the molds I'm working on. The Orc Skulls and my Armored Masked Skull are always being used to make molds. Using this method, I can get two - maybe three good casts out of a single mold before having to start all over again. Which is why my casting runs are so small and take so long to produce.
