Herra Serpensire's Hair Fitting?

Herra Serpensire's Hair Fitting?

Postby newfoundma » Tue Oct 30, 2018 12:18 pm

Has anyone been able to get Herra's hair to fit in her head? If so, how? I've tried heating both pieces in hot water, and it still doesn't fit. Her entire body fell apart while I was trying to insert the hair, and I'm worried that the two strands of hair in the front will snap while I struggle with this. Any guidance?

I reported this in the pics thread and still haven't done it because the hole looks too small for the peg.Others insist using a hair dryer is the answer but it shouldn't be this hard to do.I just added another hair piece and am very happy with it.

Warm up the hole (with a hair dryer) before sticking the cold, hard plug in. Easy and works great.

Do not warm up both pieces.

I second this. I didn't even bother trying to insert it without heating it up first. I heated up the hole/socket with a hairdryer. As Izdawiz said, I left the hair plug unheated. It needs to be cold and hard so that you can shove it into the soft, malleable socket. I was afraid it was going to be a huge pain, but I ended up getting it in right away.

Yeah, I just heated up the socket on her head and was able to get the pieces to fit together. :)

Any suggestions if someone is bald and doesn’t own a hair dryer?

Just run hot water from your sink over the head socket for 10-15 seconds. then work the hair section in.

Buy a hair dryer. It's invaluable when it comes to this stuff. I never once have used it to dry my hair but I have used it dozens of times on action figures.

Same here (although my wife and daughter actually use it to dry hair - crazy).

I used to use hot water, but the hair dryer works just as well, and after you are done, your toys are not all wet!
